Samyang is a popular South Korean food brand known for its spicy instant noodles. Established in 1961, it gained worldwide fame with its “Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen,” also known as “Buldak Bokkeum Myun.” These noodles are famous for their intense heat and unique, savory flavor. Samyang’s products have become a global sensation, often featured in spicy food challenges across social media. The company offers a variety of flavors and noodle types, catering to both spice lovers and those looking for milder options. Samyang’s innovative approach and bold tastes have made it a standout name in the instant noodle industry.




Cooking Samyang Instant Noodles (the packet kind)

You’ll need:

  • 1 pack of Samyang Buldak ramen (any flavor)

  • Water

  • Optional: egg, cheese, green onions, or rice cake (tteok)



Steps:

  1. Boil water (about 600–700 ml).

  2. Add the noodles and cook for about 4–5 minutes until soft.

  3. Drain the water, but leave about 2–3 tablespoons in the pot.

  4. Add the spicy sauce packet and stir-fry the noodles in the remaining water for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

  5. Add the flakes (garnish packet) and mix.

  6. (Optional) Add cheese, egg yolk, or chopped green onions to balance the spice.
